Alan, these are wonderful. I'm ready to get my platform shoes and bell bottoms out again. #'s 2, 3 & 5 are my favs. Cristina is lovely. And you've captured her nicely. ~~Peg

Alan,
Your model is beautiful as always and I like most of the poses.
I am not real fond of the treatments you gave her hair which is the title of this series.
In the darker B&W photos the hair blocks up the black spaces losing lots of detail. In the lighter sepia treatments it looks to me as though she was standing next to a trail rider, just in off the trail, who had just removed his hat and duster scattering dust all over the area and particularly her hair.
In the next to last shot where you have a great view of that beautiful face I thought for a while that you had taken the shots through reflective glass because of the vertical streaks running up either side of her face.

I believe that you got a little heavy handed, particularly around the sides, with the effects..

I can see that I am very much in the minority here from the other comments.

I really like most of your other photos and the little boy blowing out the candles is a classic.

Looking forward to your next posts.

Jim

Jim, thanks for your comments. I appreciate all responses, whether they be positive or negative. All the comments I have received are also one of the reasons why I love photography - it is a totally subjective art. Some people will love a specific shot while others may hate it. The great thing is that neither would be wrong because that is their opinion.

And FYI - in the 2nd to last photo, I shot it through some bamboo reeds to give the shot that effect.
